Not the right post...
HUMP DAY....just love saying that....
we had another nice day here in Texas...
Today was a first for Hotrod...
he has been wanting to chew gum since he was little bitty...
I've always told him he had to be 4 to chew gum...
Today I decided to let him try it out...
a half a piece...sitting in a chair...
oh boy did he enjoy it...
I reminded him over and over not to swallow....
he chewed and smiled....
I told him when he got tired of chewing .....
to give it to me to throw away...
we got photos....I got a video....
he was so happy...
when Pawpaw came in...he told him all about it...
"I'm not even 4 Pawpaw....I got to chew gum"
I love being a part of his firsts...
Grand kid stories are so much fun...
I was at a store today....the clerk checking me out...
told me a grand kid story...I just have to share...
when her grandson was about 3 years old...
her son and family was sent to Seattle...
her son is in the military...an MP...
well the 3 year old managed to climb out a window...
with his little back pack....
he was out walking...when a MP recognized him..
took him home to his Mom....
his Mom asked him " What were you doing?"
he said he was trying to get to Norman...
I don't like it here...I want to see my Grandma...
and get back to a Norman life...
well the word he meant was Normal...
she said that was the hardest time of her life...
thankfully they were able to get together once a month...
she was so Happy to get them back to Texas...
I have a lot of fun....exchanging stories with my Mom...
Hotrod and my niece are 5 months a part...
she watches my niece 2 1/2 days a week...
so we compare stories with our two sweeties...
I'm asking for prayers for my Mom...
she has a kidney infection...hoping for a speedy recovery...
Our group for the Stock show is getting bigger....
Hotrod may not be the only kiddo....
My brother is preaching this Sunday and the next...
while the normal minister is out of town...
* Well I don't know how I did it....
but I put this post on the wrong blog...

just don't have the energy to re do it...*

Nolan
Nolan's sight is worse....
he has bouts with his pancreas....
he gets down for a few days...
we have to take him off food...
liquids only....
then he's back to himself...
barking....trying to find food....
stealing baby wipes or Kleenex...
trying to knock over all trash cans....
he takes insulin twice a day....
scarfs his food down like no tomorrow....
he can find a ball...brings it to you....
barks...wants to play....
he does pretty good for not being able to see....
he looks like a bag of bones...
but still has his drill Sargent attitude....
