they are either napping together or playing....

rolling around...running...chasing...barking...

like two brothers should....

This is my favorite place to be in the middle of the day..

I like to sit up against the metal building and soak

up the sunshine...It was so cold here for weeks...

we are having warmer temps....and I love it...

I'm getting to old take that cold weather...it

chills me to the bones...JD and Rooster have

all that fur to keep them warm...and those sissies

Nolan and Jake live in the house....with all that warm stuff...

not me....I just have this thin hair...but I do have a heat lamp...

and blankets...and a chair in the building when it is

really cold...but give me sunshine and a warm

building to lean up against....and I'm happy...

I love to play with toys....

love chasing them...

pulling on them....

and if you don't pay attention....

I will bark at you until you do...

I was throwing one of my stuffed

toys around the other night and it landed

on the dresser...I can throw pretty hard...

and sometimes really high....

when the alarm goes off at 5:45 am...

I'm ready for my breakfast....

I go to the back door and scratch...then

when one my parents get up...I run to the

laundry room for my breakfast....

some days I decide to do this at 4:30 am...

before the alarm goes off....and they tell me...

not yet Nolan...so I go lay down in the laundry

room and wait until the alarm goes off...

then about 3:30 every afternoon....I start

thinking about supper....I hang around the

laundry room....hoping they might forget

what time it is and feed me....they usually make

me wait till 5:00 pm....some days Jake will

get in on the action and start flipping his food bowl...

and they say.....not yet....it's not time for supper...

can't these people see I'm about to dry up and blow away...

I mean come on....how long is a dog suppose to wait for

food....and during the day....they don't give me many treats...

usually just carrots...or apples ....you know that

healthy stuff....man I need to get these people trained better....

Jake here today.....I was always the baby of

the family...now they brought Rooster in...

I have someone to boss around now...

boy he loves to play....we wrestle...run...

roll...boy am I tired when we get through playing...

I like being a big brother...but he sure bites hard...

and now he weighs as much as I do....good

thing he knows I'm older than him...

Hi Rooster here....this is my favorite

place to be...hanging on JD....

he let's me do it a lot....but when

he gets tired of me...boy he yells...

"Get off of me right now boy"

so I go looking for Bliss...she isn't quite

as nice as JD but she does let me follow her

around when she hunts...she's got some cool

places to go...JD used to follow to make sure

I was okay...but now I think he enjoys the break...

when I come back...he's taking a nap....

well he is 10 years old...you know a old man...

There's so much to do around here...

you wouldn't believe the things I have found

to chew on....and dig...boy I love digging in the dirt..

I get in trouble for that...Momma doesn't like it...
well it's time to bother someone again....

The Schnauzers get a haircut....

Beautiful day....so hubby gives the boys a haircut...

they really cuddled under the blankets last night....

Never a dull moment with 5 dogs....

I'm sitting in my office working...

and I hear Bliss barking...I stand up look at the

window...and she is standing there barking at the window...

I love being able to watch the dogs...

and their crazy activities from my office window...

JD and Rooster getting a little shut eye...

JD snuggled up to their bandana....



I don't know if they were singing....
or just fussing at each other....

Rooster got his rabie shot...and tag...

he now weighs 20 lbs.

JD was so excited to see him when he came

back....he was waiting at the gate...

then they had to wrestle and play...

hard to believe JD is 10....since we

got Rooster he acts like a pup again....

the dogs water pan has been freezing up with

all this cold weather...we break it up several times

a day....

Rooster just climbs on top of the ice

and licks it.....

Big Bad Rooster

Hi everyone....Rooster here...

it was 40 degrees yesterday afternoon...

we decided to have some fun...

JD got a little cranky...but he is really the
nicest brother...he's just telling Bliss he's tired
of her playing with me...



Bliss and I went looking for squirrels...or lizards...
I didn't see either one...

Bliss tried to take over my blanket...

now she's running off to hunt again...

got my blanket back....LOL

JD and I decide to play with my blanket...

it's really just an old jacket...but it is warm

and comfy....

Bliss and JD saw something at the back of the yard...

we are running back to the front to get more loving and petting

from out family....never did see what all the fuss was about...

but I can sure out run those to old dogs....LOL

It has been really cold here in Texas...
I'm not so crazy about the cold weather...
I do have fun chasing Rooster around...
he gets us all warmed up...but I would
rather just curl up in a blanket with my Momma or Daddy...
