Jake and I have looked all over...

she's not here....her car is here...

we can see it out the window...

we didn't sleep good last night...

we thought she was outside...

we've seen her filling these black things up...

full of her clothes and junk...

Momma and Daddy left with her...

but she didn't come back with them...

wonder where she is???

we miss her already....

Border patrol means business...

the heat doesn't stop this girl...

she still spends the day checking her varmit spots...

Ginger spent the weekend..

I had to make sure she wasn't getting into trouble...

it is a lot of work keeping up with that girl...

baby sitter Rooster is off duty now...

he doesn't enjoy being the center of attention...

he likes to watch from the side lines...

but he is the first one to run in...

to catch a bee....frog...bird...snake...etc...

he loves cuddling...belly rubs...ear scratching...

 he is the first one to steal your spot in the bed...

if you get up....he will take your place...

he doesn't like balls...

but give him a soft toy with a sqeaker...

he will go to town on it...

he rings the bell on the back door to go out...

he knocks his bowl around if he is hungry...

he dumps his food out a few pieces at a time to eat it...

he's a sweetie pie...



after his bath....

the first thing Rooster does after his bath....

grab his ball of course...

his ball got a little bath also....

now it's time to play....

and off he goes....

Nolan....our diabetic dog...

he's doing really good with it..

hubby gives him shots twice a day...

the vet had put him on a perscription dog food..

very expensive .....

we did a little research and found a healthier dog food...

one that is sold at our local feedstore...

one that is good for all of our dogs...

he now eats less...and needs less insulin...

I think it has even slowed down his cloudiness in his eyes...

he is acting so much better...

playing ball....doing things he hasn't done in a year or so..

I guess some times you have to be your own Vet...

after all you are with them every day....

it does make a nice place to sit though...

not the ball chasing...

water loving goof ball...

we all know and love...

you will meet Rooster on duty.....

that is a whole different story...

no one is coming in that gate...

with out permission...

Rooster makes sure of it...

his hair stands up....

he has a big tough bark...

and he will bite....

once he is told it is okay...

he is cool with you coming in...

and goes back to Rooster...

the ball chasing...

just don't make any sudden moves towards little britches...

he will let you know really quick...
he keeps a close watch on little britches...

and I was catching a Squirrel....

I was so happy....

Daddy was very proud of me...

I wanted to take it home with me...

but he said NO....

that I could NOT bring it into the truck..

with him and little britches...

so I left it behind...

and got a nice belly rub...

and a scratch behind the ears...

look out squirrels I'm on to you know...

She's got the moves....

(enter a bird dog barking and howling here)

 she's got the moves....

we believe there is a lizard there somewhere...

never saw it...

she put on quite a show....

sometimes this is the only way to scratch that itch...

Jake was actually a good boy with his haircut ...
