Welcome to Blissful adventures...Week 1

Welcome to the first week of Blissful adventures...
Sandra at Madsnapper suggested Bliss get her own blog...
I decided to make Sundays Blissful Adventures....
this ole gal has had her share of adventures...

she turned 12 years old in November...
we bought her for our son for Christmas...
he was 15 years old...and wanted a bird dog...
he wanted a male....we went to the breeder....

he had a very nice kennel...he also raised horses...
there was a litter of 6 or 7....
one pup just kept jumping over the other ones...
you guessed it...it was Bliss...
my son kept putting her back...looking for a male...

well she wasn't having any part of it...
she was determined to come home with us...
at the time my son had his own little band...
named Bliss...so he decided to name her Bliss...
we also got my daughter a blueheeler pup at the same time..
She named him JD after a charachter in a John Wayne movie...
we had goats at that time...the dogs followed them all over...
they ate leaves with them....
Bliss was spoiled by JD...
when the weather was cold...JD sat on top of her...
keeping her warm....JD cleaned her everyday...
her eyes...her ears..
she became the princess of the manner...
she has always been a natural hunter...
from a small pup...her nose was to the ground...
but she has always been scared of loud noises...
like guns...fireworks...
that is usually what leads her to jumping the fence...
and giving us gray hairs...
See you next week for a new Blissful Adventure..

What a great idea. We are going to love reading Blissful Adventures every week. Sweet Bliss you are just so much fun to see and read about. You are one amazing girl! Always hunting but never too busy to stop and be gentle and loving with Little Britches. You are a sweetheart. Hugs and nose kisses

so i guess she never made it to bird dog status if she didn't like guns. don't blame her for being afraid of the loud noise!

thank you thank you thank you, more bliss stories. i love her and would love to hug her. cooper used to do the same thing to baby when he was alive, keeping her clean, laying on her and licking her ears. she is hound and does the run away thing and the nose to the ground, she needs space to roam like bliss has.

I love learning about Bliss. This is a really neat story! What's funny about it is that I got Roxy for my son's 9th birthday. He wanted a male yellow lab. When we went to see the puppies Roxanne wouldn't leave my ankle. All the other puppies ran off to play, but not Roxy! She was determined to be with us! One of the streets we drove down was Roxanne and that is an unusual name to my son. Then we added Love, she's Roxanne Love. Have a great Sunday!

Bliss knew who her family was....even if it took your son a while to realise it!
